Scope and Contents
The Fonds contains an assorted collection of original receipts issued to Kwong On Construction Co. (廣安建造裝飾公司) located at 2 New Street (original name: Po Leung New Street), Sheung Wan, Hong Kong between 1927 and 1975. They are receipts of rent (449 sheets), electricity charge (410), telephone fee (152), rates (42), district watchman fee (27), government property rent (15), insurance (8), property tax (4), newspaper (2), project professional fee (2), water meter relocation (1) and cleaning service (1) totaling 1,113 sheets. Also included in the Fonds are business correspondence comprising Broadcast Receiving Licence (9), Certificate of Standard Rent (1), rent increase notification (2) and letters (2) mainly of the 1950s.
