中光布廠是一所布疋織造廠， 1932 年在香港開業，初名中光電機布廠及中光隆記布廠。資料顯示織布廠位於九龍九龍城道161-169號，總公司及零售批發店則位於中環永吉街21號及灣仔軒尼詩道125-127號，另有倉庫在九龍馬頭角道，用作儲存貨物。檔案資料主要是中文文檔，按文件的類別，分為兩部份：商務檔案和非商務檔案，並按時序排列，涵蓋1919年至1964年的時期，前者保存了中光布廠的商業資料，後者則記錄其創辦人兼司理人鄺吉堂 (又名鄺煦敬)及其兩名兒子鄺達明和鄺耀榮的個人資料。

The fonds contains chiefly the business materials of Chung Kwong Weaving Factory, a fabric manufacturing mill established in 1932 in Hong Kong. It was officially named Chung Kwong Lung Kee Cloth Factory in the 1930s. Fonds materials reveal that the factory is located at 161-169 Kowloon City Road, Kowloon with its head office and retail & wholesale fabric stores running at 21 Wing Kut Street, Central and 125-127 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, HK Island. It also had a warehouse at Ma Tau Kok Road, Kowloon for goods storage purpose. Fonds materials are mainly textual and in Chinese. They are now arranged according to the type of document and in chronological order into two series: Business documents and Non-business documents spanning from 1919 to 1964. The former relates to the business activities of Chung Kwong Weaving Factory while the latter contains the personal materials of Kwong Kut Tong (alias Kwong Hsu King), the founder and director of Chung Kwong Weaving Factory, and those of his two sons, Kwong Tat Ming and Kwong Yiu Wing.
