Scope and Contents

The Collection, comprising mainly photographs and private papers of his wife, Mrs Gwen Steele-Perkins. Materials include photographs (totalling 37), letters (152 sheets), bills and receipts (28 sheets) and miscellaneous items such as identity card, manuscript, newspaper clipping etc. covering the years 1908-1960 with bulks in the periods of 1930s and 1940s.

Scope and Contents Lin Yu Lan (林友蘭) is a Chinese newspaperman based in Hong Kong. This archival and manuscript collection features a series of correspondence dated 1959-60 between Lin Yu Lan and fellow journalists and other acquaintance abroad in the English-speaking world sharing the same humanitarian concern about refugees in Hong Kong.
