商務檔案分七大類：(a)來往數簿、分類帳簿、進支簿、盈虧結算表、花紅佣金數列；(b)匯信存據簿、匯兌記錄、匯款收據、按揭文件、銀行結單、銀行來往信件；(c)股票存根、股票買賣轉讓、股東記錄、股息收據 (d)物業及土地買賣記錄、契約及協議、租項簿、稅項及其他繳費收據；(e)合約及協議文件、政府批文、證書、保險單、借據、公債；(f)公務信件、電報、會議記錄、通告； (g) 各類發票及收據。

Business documents are arranged into 7 series: (a) transaction books, ledgers, income and expenses log books, profit and loss statements, bonus and commission, etc.; (b) remittance books, money exchange records and receipts, mortgage papers, bank statements, correspondence with banks, etc; (c) share registry, stock trading and transfer, shareholders record and dividend receipts; (d) property accounts records, contracts and agreements, lease records, tax and other payment receipts; (e) contracts and agreements, government approvals and certificates, insurance policies, money lending slips and bonds; (f) official correspondence, telegrams, and notices and (g) invoices and receipts.
